What is it?

Arbequina Gourmet EVOO is made with olives of the Arbequina variety, harvested at the beginning of October while they are still green in colour, just before they start to ripen (change from green to purple).

The best olive trees are selected from our Arbequina plantations in Baeza (Jaén) and special attention is paid to the harvesting process and Integrated Production.

Thanks to this, we are able to create a superior quality oil, which conserves all its fruity and aromatic notes, perfect for palates seeking a mild oil.

Arbequina Gourmet EVOO is a unique oil that calls for a special bottle with a design inspired by Baeza Cathedral. The height of the cathedral’s ceilings is represented by the slenderness of the bottle, whilst the gold adornments on a white background pay homage to the stylistic richness of this emblematic building.

Envase Patrimonio Azul

Proud of its quality and land, Baeza also plays a fundamental role in the packaging design. With a bottle inspired by the city’s traditional ceramics, its blue motifs on a white background represent the most emblematic buildings in Baeza. A quote from Antonio Machado, written by the writer and poet during his time there, is also printed on the neck of the bottle: “Countryside of Baeza, I’ll dream of you when I see you not”.

Tasting & Pairing

Arbequina Gourmet EVOO is golden in colour. Some of its tasting notes include:

  • Green olive fruitiness and ripe notes; fruity aromas of banana, almond and grape skin with green and herbaceous notes stand out on the nose.
  • Very smooth and fluid on the palate, with strong hints of almond and banana. Almost imperceptible bitterness and slight spiciness at the back of the throat. Balanced and harmonic.
